Custom Birthday Set w/ a Moravian Star

Working on a really cool set for an employee at one of my favorite websites, One Kings Lane! This post will focus mainly on the moravian star design...

Start by outlining the cookie

Then add the lines to outline where each section will go

Using the "quilting" technique, start filling in alternating triangles. Let each section dry before filling in the one next to it so they don't blend together.

Once all of the sections have dried, go over the original outline so it is raised off of the cookie a little bit. Once that dries use a silver luster dust to paint over the lines to add a little shine!

Add some other fun designs to the set and you have yourself a perfect one of a kind birthday gift!
